To my dearest:
I’ve been eyeing many awesome trends, so I feel so inclined to share them with you all! Lace up flats have been around for a while and they’re definitely considered trendy, so let’s talk about them! I think the lace up style shoes have been in style through the ages with different variations to them. However, in this millennium, when you see black lace up flats, you’re automatically going to be thinking about the Christy flats from Aquazzura!
The ones from Aquazzura are absolutely gorgeous! They are made with beautiful leather and a luxe gold heel. I love them to bits and pieces. However, they’re also very very expensive. They retail for about $675 USD plus tax. When browsing the internet, you may be able to find discounted pairs your size if you cross your fingers! But that price will also set you at about $300 or so.
When I first had my obsession of them, unfortunately, there were no sales and my wallet was tight, so I turned to dupes. And that was when I started researching about dupes! I’m extremely picky so they must look just as nice! I found mine on sale at Saks Fifth for about $150, which is a fraction of the price of the Christy Flats by Aquazzura. They are also made in Italy and looks about 90% similar and the quality seems great! However, I later found that they weren’t very comfortable so I seldom wear them out if I know I need to walk long distance.
Well, that didn’t solve my problem. So I continued on my search. At the end, I couldn’t find a pair with smooth leather that fit my bill and were just as comfortable. However, when browsing DSW online, I found a pair of Anne Klein Ottillia‘s that were to my liking and they were comfortable too with iFlex foam! Sounded like a dream to my soles and they absolutely were! However, I was only able to get them in suede and not the smooth leather I wanted. They also didn’t have the gold heel, so it wasn’t 100%. However, they fit the bill for comfort and style! I bought them last year, so it’s a bit harder to find them now.
All in all, I believe that the lace up flats trend is here to stay for more years to come, so getting a pair is definitely going to be a good investment to your closet! They’re stylish and chic! I’m probably going to have to buy more of these! And who knows, maybe I’ll grab myself an Aquazzura pair one day!

I haven’t worn laceups in so long! These are super cute!
These are lovely shoes. I love them and wish I could find some in my size. I love that they remind me of my pointe shoes for ballet and how nice they would look with a lot of my outfits. Great outfit by the way and love it style together.
