To my dearest:
Summer has been marvelous thus far in New York City. During these hot days, my favorite shade to wear is Pink Blush. It’s just such a lovely and feminine color. While summer to me essentially embodies: sunshine yellow, tropical prints, and florals — what really captures my heart is that beautiful light shade of pink. Today, I’m here with two beautiful pink blush pieces I love and styled. All hail, “Pink Blush Summer Love”.
DRESS: FASHION UNION @ ASOS (SZ 2) | CLUTCH: LV | JEWELRY: KARENASH NY
This beautiful peachy blush one piece dress is such a classic trendsetter. It’s got that button down shirt sexy look paired with off the shoulder and ruffles to make it even more feminine. This one runs in petite sizing and a size 2 fits me just right. The only thing I would make note of, is that the bust area is a tad too tight and the buttons tend to pop (My bust measures 34 inches). I have to add a small safety pin in order for it to not pop. I’ve tried a size 4 and 6 as well, but it looked too oversized on me and was unflattering. Hence, I kept the size 2 and just solved my problem with a safety pin. If you have a larger bust size, I’d definitely go a size up. I chose a small monogrammed LV clutch as a timeless classic piece and to add a pop to the whole outfit.
TOP: ASOS PETITE (SZ 4) [similar] | SKIRT: BOOHOO @ ASOS (SZ 4) | SHOES: MEESHINE (SZ 6) | JEWELRY: KARENASH NY
This outfit consists of a white cold shoulder top and a blush pink pleated skirt. Classic colors to mix pink blush with are monochromatic colors, such as black, white and gray. In the summer, I often times opt for white for a more refreshing look. The cold shoulder style is a major trend this season and so are pleats. What’s amazing about the skirt is the added lace details towards the hem line. Adding more than just a touch of feminine, but in fact revamping the whole outfit. The white heels with gold ankle strap is a simple style, that adds to the whole look without being too overwhelming. The sizing is regular and not petite. However, I find UK sizes run smaller, so I’m typically a wide range between 2-6 depending on the fit. The top is petite sizing, and I could’ve easily opt. for a size 2, but ordered in a size 4 and got too lazy to return it. It looks fine regardless!
I paired both outfits with a mixture of rose gold and yellow gold jewelry pieces. I love gold jewelry in general. However, I think it looks particularly beautiful against pinks. The stones I have on me are pink tourmaline and cognac diamond. Which, I think brings out the whole pink and gold scheme more. The collection of pieces are by local New York brand, KarenAsh – which offers jewelry tailored towards petites. I recently wrote an in depth review about them and the pieces I’m wearing HERE, so feel free to check it out.
Hope everyone is having a fabulous summer as well thus far. Write back and let me know what’s your favorite color or print to wear during the summer!

Yes Sarah, I agree! Cool colors are beautiful in the summer!
Light colors are definitely comfortable for hot weather. That light pink blush color is prefect for spring and summer.
Gold is definitely the new in thing and I love your jewelry! I love that it’s simple, yet elegant and can go with any outfit. I have to admit that I’m not the biggest fan of the “off the shoulder” trend, but I love the pleated skirt!

Pink blush really suits you in so many ways. It’s like a doll colored and I wish I could get hand on the Asos dress. However I am not so sure if it would look good on me. Pink blush is great when you have darker hair colored, I am almost blond.

Thank you for the compliment, Helene! Yes, pink blush stands out better against darker hair color. I’m sure maybe if you add in a darker color to combo pink blush, you can bring out your light colored hair!
You look so beautiful in this outfit!
Have an amazing day!
