To my dearest:
This is probably much over due! The month has been crazy and I’m still trying to catch up! So unfortunately, I’ll have to just review this NYFW super quick! Today, I’m sharing my favorite outfits I wore for NYFW with you all!
TOP: R&J COUTURE (s/o – similar) | SHORTS: SHEIN | BELT: ASOS (s/o – similar) | COAT: KENNETH COLE (s/o – similar) | BOOTS: MARC FISHER | BAG: ERDEMxHM
I partied pretty hard in this outfit in the 30°F weather in New York City. It was the Friday night out and I wore this for a couple of shows and after parties straight on! When I was pairing this outfit – I went for a grungy look with black leather details, a corset belt, and a pair of velvet thigh high boots. Then I wanted to softened up the look. So I decided to throw in some ruffles, blush pink, and pair a purse that had bling and croc skin. Overall, it was chic with a hint of romanticism. I think I nailed it with this one! It was definitely a look that effortlessly transitioned from day to night.
TOP: SISTER JANE (s/o) | BOTTOM: ASOS | EARRINGS: ASOS (s/o – similar) | SHOES: K+K (s/o – similar) | BAG: DEREK LAM
Excuse my creepy cat-eye status here with the glare. It was a quick shot before I stepped out of the Maybelline event. This outfit was primarily for convenience sake. I was running all over from events to shows to the blogger conference SIMPLY NYC that day and I was lugging around my camera. You can see my Derek Lam camera bag in burgundy in the shot. I didn’t intend for it to be a part of the outfit, but it seemed to have worked out well. Pearl accents are all the rage this season. I saw it in a few fashion shows this season, including the Concept Korea show. Embroidered florals are also still “in” and so are patterns. This cute little top did it all for me without being too over the top. The little gold with pearl dangling earrings were the perfect little pair to the outfit. I think hair style makes or breaks this outfit. This was definitely an outfit that wouldn’t look good with my usual curls. So I left it straight and slicked it back for a more uniformed clean look.
OUTFIT: TAORAY WANG
Ah, Yes! This outfit was one of my favorites. Big thank you to TAORAY Wang because all of the above are her runway pieces for FW18! It was featured in her show and I got the chance to drop by her show room and wear some of the pieces. This was not styled by me, but by my friend, Daisy Toi! I’m loving this season’s hit on military looks and blazers. This red blazer is totally to die for! It’s just so captivating. Paired with neutral colors and thin stripes and ruffles. It’s just PERFECT. Oh and yes. In case you’re wondering. Ruffles are still in. This is one chic yet feminine look. I think FW18 is screaming this combo!
DRESS/EARRINGS/BAG: ERDEMxHM | SHOES: JS
This was the look I sported for the Nolcha Shows at the Benz Flagship. I’m pretty much sporting the Erdem x H&M collection from head to toe. Okay, not down to the toe – minus the shoes! Earrings, dress, and purse are all from the latest H&M collection that was released in November. You can read about the coveted pieces here and see my previous look book on it. If you’re a fashionista, you’ll probably spot the pieces from miles away. I was completely in love with the collection and finally got to wear the pieces to this event! I love the jacquard print dress. It’s so elaborate and Erdem does such exquisite floral prints. You just can’t go wrong.

Overall, I think these couple of looks are all pretty different. I enjoyed styling them and definitely had fun wearing them to the different events. It’s definitely been a hectic Fashion Week for me, but it was fun seeing all the new creativity flowing from different designers and of course linking up with old friends and meeting new people. It’s always exciting. I’m already looking forward to September! And I hope to see some of you there!
If you would like to know more about NYFW or would like more tips on styling for any event, do write back and let me know! I can’t wait to hear back from you all! Enjoy your lovely weekend! And of course, Happy International Women’s Day!
