It’s October! Time to start planning your Halloween look for parties or just taking your young family members or friends to Trick-or-Treat! Today you’ll get a good look at my Halloween make up and a teaser preview to my Halloween outfit! How exciting is that?!
No Halloween look can really be complete without the make up – in fact I think it’s the most important part of it all! And it’s my job as your stylist to help you complete the look! This little lip vault by Measurable Difference makes a measurable difference when it comes to this!
This lip vault features 36 stunningly vibrant and long lasting lip colors to help achieve any look. I just thought it was perfect to share for Halloween. It contains so many colors that can be used for any costume look! The possibilities are endless! I love that they’re so little and portable as well. Some of these colors, I really would never buy a full size of, but appreciate the little dose of it.
I love how you can play around with the assortment of colors. For example, I used three colors to complete this gradient lip look. I used a black base, then applied the darker violet and finally added the pastel lavender in the middle and slowly blended outward to create this perfect lip look.
As you can tell from the couple of swatches, these are highly pigmented! The wearability of these are awesome as well. It applies super smooth and is a true matte. It also doesn’t dry out the lips or make it look flakey. The brand claims it to be waterproof and boy was it waterproof! If you follow me on instagram, you would know! I went to the dog park and coffee shop after shooting this look and I was NOT able to take it off with water at all! I didn’t have make up remover or oils on me either, so I rubbed my lips real hard attempting to remove it and it ended in vain. Actually, I ended up with slightly red lips and looking goth the whole time.
The staying power of this is A+ as well. Tested by yours truly – it did not budge on my lips the whole remainder of the day through coffee and eating light snacks. Even eating oily food, only the center lost a bit of color. I swatched a couple of colors on le boy’s arm and that dried quickly and ended up on his arm the whole day. The color stayed after a hot shower, only to be removed by make up remover after!
I definitely think this lip vault will make a statement to your Halloween look or even any fashion look you’re trying to attempt. I’m looking forward to using the different colors I usually wouldn’t be able to use otherwise! These look like some fabulous colors! I don’t really have a Halloween look, but my daughter had various Halloween outfits she likes to wear.
My kids are obsessed with Moana and will be characters from the movie for Halloween. They are still young, so I’m doing a test run of the lava demon on myself this weekend to make sure it won’t scare them before I commit to it.

Those colors are awesome. I hadn’t settled on any particular look for Halloween yet but I would love to try something just to wear some of these colors that I would normally not wear.

I have been trying to get BOLDER with my lip colors. I have bought a true purple – blue – even yellow, but somehow I have trouble actually wearing them. I do like this collection.

I’m obsessed with lipstick that has staying power. One of my biggest disappointments of lipsticks is when they wipe off super easy- like when I’m eating or drinking. I hate seeing that small splash of color on my food or my glass. I’ll have to look into this, and as you said, perfect timing for Halloween!
This is a dramatic and edgy look for Halloween, which I love. I have always felt like I cannot pull off dark purple lip shades with my blonde hair and light complexion, but it looks fabulous on you!

Halloween is definitely a fun time. My kids loves to go to trick or treating. This make up kit is perfect for a zombie or witch costumes that my kids love.
I only improvised last Halloween by mixing my lip balm with black eyeshadow. I would love to have that makeup kit!

What a great collection. We used to do some serious makeup when the boys were little. The ice demon we did one year could have used a couple of these colors.
I love the lip cream combo for the Halloween one. It has more definition than a regular black. I would wear that more than Halloween.
