Of Lace, Chiffon, and Fringes | STYLE

To my dearest:

Trends come and go most of the time, but there are those that are timeless and remains a staple in every fashionista’s wardrobe. Lace, chiffon, and fringes are timeless trends. Pairing them together may seem like too much, but when you do it right, you can pull off a feminine-esque edgy look!

Chiffon paired with lace is a no brainer feminine look and when you add fringes into the mix, you have yourself a touch of edgy. When you mix in black to your color palette, you easily escalate the edgy in the look!

I paired royal purple chiffon with black lace and threw in a pair of black ankle boots with fringes for my look. The top is collarless for a more feminine touch. I added a thin black lace choker to accentuate the feminine aspect of the outfit and to accentuate the lace details. For the bottom, I paired it with a pair of light washed denim high-waist shorts. The contrast in colors make the whole outfit more appealing. The shorts paired with the heeled ankle boots elongate the legs effectively. The fringes of the ankle boots add an extra touch of edgy to the whole look.

The look is perfect for an afternoon or casual night out in New York City. It’s not too flashy, but it grabs attention. If you want to tone down the look a bit, you can opt. for another color instead of royal purple. Something like navy blue or blush pink would give a similar effect. The outfit pairing works great on everyone, but I put together this outfit with petites in mind. I hoped to elongate a petite’s body more with the minute details.
