To my dearest:
Oh! How I missed you all! I’m finally back from West Coast and I hit home with this winter blizzard storm in New York! I’m slowly getting my clock back to normal and catching up on work. I’m still feeling super sluggish and don’t feel like doing any work though. It’s probably from running straight on for three weeks with less than five hours of sleep each day.
Yeah, it was pretty crazy. I went one full week of NYFW, then got home at 3am and packed till 5am and took a 7:30am flight to SF and ran the pageant nonstop for a week and then headed to LA and San Diego for an adventurous trip. So definitely haven’t had enough rest.
However, I’m excited to be back and super ecstatic to be sharing my trip with you all! I’ll definitely be sharing everything (yes, including the pageant adventures – at a later time). Today, I’m just going to focus on the LA part first!
LOCATION 1: DISNEY LAND
It’s actually my first trip to LA and I was plenty excited. So first stop first, of course I went to Disney Land! I’ve actually been to Disney World in Orlando a good hand full of times when I was a kid, but have never been to the first Disney Land, so I was in for a treat! The photo opps are are also endless! If you want cutesy cartoon world photos, this is definitely the place to be! And of course, having fun while you’re at it, is a major plus!
At Disneyland I was happy to be able to link up with my college sweetheart and her boyfriend. Even though we live in the same city, it’s been hard to meet up with our different schedules. But our hearts are near, and fate had it that we were in the same city at the same time! What luck!
If you want to see more of my Disney Land adventures, head on to my instagram and view my “Travel Stories”! You’ll catch all the fun for Disney and the rest of the trip!
LOCATION 2: URBAN LIGHTS
Can’t not stop by LACMA! It’s such a beautiful Modern Arts Museum! It’s the largest art museum in the western US! Definitely a place with plenty of insta-worthy shots. If you don’t have time to stop inside, definitely take photos at the ever so famous Urban Lights outside! It’s street art, so it’s completely free and opened 24 hours. You can take different types of photos during different hours and times at the location for a different vibe every single time! It’s definitely a blogger-esque place for pretty photos! Don’t believe me? See for yourself!
I took these during the afternoon so that I could play with the shadows! I love how artsy this set came out! More photos will be on my instagram, so be on a look out for that! But yes, if you shoot at different times, the vibes here would be totally different, so you can play around with different outfits in just this one location! How fun is this!
LOCATION 3: HOLLYWOOD SIGN
Can’t leave LA without visiting the ever so famous Hollywood sign. I mean, if you can’t be a part of it, have to at least visit it right? Well… I only had one day to sight see and do photoshoots after spending two whole days in Disney. So, while the hike is fun (or so I heard), I did not take the hike up. Instead I just shot right at the observation point, which still gave pretty decent shots.
I thought the shots still turned out pretty well with the sign in the far back ground. Definitely a different type of style than the Urban Lights location!
LOCATION 4: GRIFFITH OBSERVATORY
Okay, this is probably my favorite place. The observatory is a nice check out, but the view here… is amazing. It’s technically right next to the Hollywood sign, so I stopped by right after. It did take about twenty minutes to get here because it’s all mountains and local so driving was a drag. The view here is absolutely MARVELOUS. You can spot the Hollywood sign right underneath you and the whole skyline of LA. It’s pretty darn incredible.

It’s definitely beautiful to take in the beautiful sky line of LA. But, the architecture of this building is breathtaking as well. I was here for a good hour or so just taking photos and letting myself take the moment and just sink into the heart of LA.
LOCATION 5: PHILZ COFFEE
After a long day of shoots, definitely had to stop by for a relaxing cup of coffee. I stopped by Philz upon my college sweetheart’s recommendation and picked up this Mint Chocolate Mojito. Nope it has no alcohol in it, just coffee. It’s not boozed, but it was pretty darn good. It was a nice place to just get work done. Is it insta-worthy? Kinda-sorta. But worth the mention and share with ya all!
Had my coffee with this Cucumber Tomato Bagel. It was pretty bomb. Maybe cause I was super hungry. Hmm…
LOCATION 6: GLEE BURGER & DONUTS
So, I think I saw this place on Buzzfeed or something and bookmarked it on Yelp. I really wanted to stop by and try their soft shell crab burger. There was one in Anaheim, which wasn’t too far off route, so I stopped by for a quick dinner before heading to San Diego. And I must say, it was pretty darn good! Greasy heart-attack goodness! But so worth it!
Their donuts are pretty famous and bomb. I was offered mine on the house after my dinner when I just wanted a donut. How chill are they? Super chill! I didn’t even mention I just wanted it for photos and for my blog. They were just THAT nice. This establishment is definitely A+++! Making such insta-worthy donuts and having a pretty wall to match it!
Well, this about rounds up my LA trip. If you’re looking for pretty spots to stop by for photos, definitely visit the ones I mentioned. There’s plenty more where that came from, but I only had time for those! When I visit LA again, hopefully I have more time to take you all to more spots! But I’ll be traveling a lot more this year, so look forward to a whole lot more travel content! For the time being, I hope you enjoyed this week’s post and look forward to next week’s recap for my San Diego trip!

What an incredible trip and what a difference between New York to such beautiful LA weather. Great photos. It makes feel that I should start packing.
These spots in L.A are spectacular! I want to see the observatory the next time I make a trip over there. And go to Disneyland too. Once I remember being about a mile away from there, but unfortunately never getting the chance to visit there. 🙁
I’m loving the Griffith Observatory spot for photos! I would not mind a trip to Disneyland too haha.
